
So to Lake Minnewanka I did go. (My list of funny names in and around Calgary include: Shaganappi, Kananaskis, and best so for - Minnewanka)

By many I was warned of the bears. (Friends, rangers, random strangers....) But - as with many Canadian things - it's just about liability. There are no bears. (But keep up the rumors by all means - it makes for less people in the wild)

The only thing you are likely to encounter in Canada - is the mighty squirrel.

If you are a master of stealth (like me) you might see some deer.

You will also see water. Lots of water.
